Hidden in Plain Sight & Vaping 101

Wednesday, May 15, 2019

5:30pm – 7:30pm

Hidden in Plain Sight is a presentation for adults and parents to raise awareness of signs that may point to risky adolescent behaviors. Open to adults only, this free program recreates a mock bedroom that parents, grandparents, educators, caregivers, and other adults can explore to identify hidden drug paraphernalia and warning signs associated with drug or alcohol abuse by a teen. You will learn about drug trends and signs such as
concealment areas, hidden containers, clothing, paraphernalia, logos and more.

Vaping 101 will be presented by Sherry Carlson, Public Health Nurse from CT River Area Health District to
educate parents in our community about vaping—what it is, what the devices look like, and the harm it can cause—the important groundwork for addressing youth use of these products.

Light refreshments will be provided.
