Beyond the Looking Glass: Impacting Community Health Through a Trauma Informed Lens

Please join Valley Shore Collaborative in partnership with Tri-Town Youth Services and Nami Shoreline  for a professional development opportunity led by Michelle Kenefick, LCSW focused on looking at mental health through a trauma informed lens.

Michelle Kenefick, LCSW, SEP is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in private practice with offices in Essex, Middletown and online. With 30 years of experience in the field of Social Work, Michelle’s background includes working

in non-profit and corporate environments with adults and children in a variety of settings including street outreach, residential treatment programs, foster care, in-home / community-based settings and in private practice.

If you work directly with youth in any capacity as school counselors, teachers, para professionals, SROs, pediatricians, nurses, mental health providers, or any other helping professional this will be an introduction to impactful conversations around trauma that will be beneficial in your continued work with youth.

Please join us on October 22nd from 3:30-5:30 pm at Saybrook Point Pavilion.

Light refreshments will be provided by Nami Shoreline.
